NPFL: Plateau Utd halt winless streak, Remo Stars secure second spot

Plateau United halted their four-game winless streak courtesy of a comprehensive 4-0 victory against Doma United in Jos.
David Onovo set the tone for the victory with the opener in the 20th minute.
The hosts scored two more goals before the break, through Daniel Barnabas and Sunday Anthony.

Bernard Mundi added the fourth in stoppage time.
In Ikenne, Remo Stars recorded a hard-fought 2-1 win over Akwa United to move into second place on the log.
Adebayo Abayomi put the home team ahead in the 39th minute.
Veteran forward Sikiru Alimi added the second from the spot in first-half stoppage time.
Cameroon defender Gerome Heutchou reduced the deficit for Akwa United one minute after the break.
